AFTER his recent success of Kaapse Klopse Jol with Midnight Train to Motown, acclaimed Cape Town entertainer/impresario Jayson King will be performing in Port Elizabeth at the Boardwalk Amphitheatre on Saturday, November 30.
Midnight Train to Motown features some of Cape Town’s finest entertainers singing tributes to the famous 60s superstars and 80s legends.
Singer Ruth Knight will perform voice stylings of Natalie Cole, Gladys Knight and Gloria Gaynor; while PE singer Charmaine Allisson will sing songs by the Queen of Rock, Tina Turner.
The cast also features Dennis Maart, Sumaya Hendricks, Tony Butler, Belinda Qaqamba and Nataly Mafuya, while King will act as host/narrator.
All costumes are designed in true Motown fashion and is styled by King.
“Close to 100 costumes are worn in this exciting non-stop music revue which is pulsating, rhythmic and true ‘nostalgia in a tin’,” King explained.
The show will be performed at the The Boardwalk Amphitheatre on Saturday, November 30 at 19:00.
Tickets to the show are R140 per person and are available from Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers.
