The Port Elizabeth Express is reporting from the Gqeberha High Court today, where Arnold Terblanche, who is accused of orchestrating the murder of his estranged wife, Vicki Terblanche, will be appearing. Also in court will be his co-accused, Vicki’s boyfriend at the time of her death, Reinhardt Leach.
Vicki Terblanche’s body was found in a shallow grave in Greenbushes in October 2021.
PE Express reporters Gugulethu Mtumane and Shanti Jafta are attending the court proceedings, which are set to start soon.
Arnold Terblanche, who is dressed in a leather jacket and jeans, is already in the courtroom accompanied by his daughter, Natalie Nell. Also in the gallery is Leach’s father, who has been attending many of Leach’s previous court appearances since the beginning of this case. Terblanche is out on bail, while Leach is in custody after previously abandoning his application for bail.
Another accused in the murder, Dylan Cullis, was last year sentenced to 18 years in prison following his confession, as part of a plea deal with the state.
This is a developing story and will be updated regularly.
