Every year Achilles Athletic Association hosts their Annual Run for Toys. This year the event will be on 10 December and promises to be loads of fun for everyone. Whether you run or walk, everyone is welcome to join in the festivities of the evening. Starting at 17:45, at Walmer Golf Club, 79 River Road, the route takes you through the Little Walmer Golf Club course.
The aim of the event is to collect donations for The Sanctuary Old Age Home, Animal Welfare and The Kids of Tomorrow NPO which does great work with children in the Walmer area. There will be refreshments on sale. You may even be lucky to see an early appearance of Father Christmas (parents may provide a gift for their child to receive after the run/walk)
Achilles AAA would like to challenge other running clubs in the metro to bring their members and come and enjoy a festive evening and support three wonderful charities.
Entry fee is an item of clothing, pet food, a toy or a non-perishable food item.
