Community Chest Eastern Cape’s annual Winter Woolly Drive, in collaboration with SPAR Eastern Cape, started off on a high note recently with a huge donation.
“We were greeted with warm smiles by the children of ACVV Haas Das Day Care Centre. It was an overwhelming experience when these adorable children donated their shoes and clothing to our Winter Woolly Drive,” said Selwyn Willis of Community Chest.
This campaign is in it’s 26th year of collecting warm blankets and clothing items for the less fortunate in the Nelson Mandela Bay metro. There are many who face huge challenges in keeping warm during the winter months.
The drive will run until end of August and donations can be dropped off at Waterfront SPAR, Summerbreeze SUPERSPAR, Sundridge SUPERSPAR and Newton Park SUPERSPAR.
