AHEAD of Andrew Rabie High School’s 70th anniversary in August this year, they will host a fundraising event on March 23 where award-winning stand-up comedian, Dalin Oliver will perform at the school.

Seventy years ago the school was founded by Andrew Rabie, a dentist from Gqeberha, and was established to promote Afrikaans as a language.

This year the school will have their third generation of English Home Language learners completing their National Senior Certificate.

The demographics of the school are changing, and they want to affirm an ethos of inclusivity, equality and good ethics.

Big Mouth Entertainment will host a fundraising event at the school on March 23.

Oliver will perform at the school at 19:30.

“I am now at the stage of my life where complete strangers are calling me uncle. I’d like to chat about this, and some other stuff please,” said Oliver.

The comedian will also stop over in Kariega on March 24, where he will perform at the Agape Coffee Shop. Tickets can be purchased on Quicket and are priced from R150.
