FOLLOWING the easing of national lockdown regulations, ABC Motsepe League fixtures are set to resume on Thursday, October 1.

According to SAFA Eastern Cape provincial executive officer, Isaac Klaas, games will follow the fixture programme.

Klaas emphasised that in order to catch up, games will be played on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with all scheduled matches for a given day happening simultaneously at different venues to encourage teams to focus on their own results, rather than making decisions based on what has happened in other fixtures.

Klaas also highlighted that national play-offs would take place in Gauteng from October 15-19.

“I urge to the lower leagues that they must wait patiently for the resumption of their games.

‘Their fixture programmes will only resume when the entire country is at level one.

“I humbly appeal to the clubs that they should not break the lockdown regulations.

“Teams must observe and comply with the Covid-19 lockdown regulations at all times,” said Klaas.
