Being one of the most densely populated areas in Nelson Mandela Bay, Schauderville has had a lack of safe outdoor recreational facilities and children were forced to play in the busy roads. The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality has spent more than R1 million to create a safe space for children by upgrading a playground in St Nicholas Road. Read more about this initiative on page 4.
