A pedestrian was killed in Kragga Kamma Road this morning, June 30, after she was hit by a car at approximately 06:00.
Police spokesperson, Capt. Sandra Janse van Rensburg, said that the 51-year-old woman has been identified as Nomvula Kama.
It is alleged that Kama was dropped off by her friend in Kragga Kamma Road near the shopping centre and as she was busy crossing the road, she was hit by a red Hyundai vehicle.
“She was on her way to work at a retail store in the centre. The driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries,” Janse van Rensburg said.
A case of culpable homicide is under investigation.
