ON Sunday morning, November 28, Sir Frank Williams passed away, at the age of 79.

More recent fans of Formula 1 may only know him as the founder and team principal of the Williams team, which was recently sold to Dorilton Capital. But his contribution not only far exceeds the boundaries of F1 but also installed him as one of the most incredible people in all of the sport’s history.

From humble beginnings, in an old carpet factory, Sir Frank built Williams into one of the most prestigious and legendary teams the sport has ever seen.

His passion for F1 was surpassed only by his own tenacity which saw him overcome enormous adversity.

As the most successful team principal the sport has ever seen Sir Frank has left a legacy that will neither be forgotten nor surpassed.
