NEW Brighton Academy have made an impressive start to the season in SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay (NMB) SAB Regional League.

On Saturday, the New Brighton outfit handed Port Elizabeth FC a 2-0 defeat at New Brighton Oval Stadium.

Their head coach and chairperson, Zolani Matiwane, gives the youth enough opportunity to showcase their football talents. However, Matiwane also gives his players the freedom to enjoy and express themselves during their games.

Following their 2-1 victory over School of Excellence FC at South Campus Grounds in Summerstrand on Friday, Madibaz Football were surprised by PE FC who beat them 1-0 at South Campus on Sunday.

Highland Spurs FC lost their home game 1-0 to Sibanye FC at Jabavu Stadium in KwaNobuhle on Saturday as well.

EC Celtics FC are also in a good form, as they defeated Young Teenagers in Kariega on Saturday.
