SAPS Mount Road Detectives are investigating a case of culpable homicide after a motor vehicle drove into a truck early this morning, 12 February in Gqeberha.
It is alleged that at approximately 02:00 a Nissan truck was stationary in the middle lane on the M4, direction Mount Road off-ramp due to mechanical problems, said Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, police spokesperson.
“A white VW Polo was also traveling on the freeway and collided into the back of the truck. All three occupants of the vehicle died on the scene,” she said.
The occupants in the Polo were identified as Ryan Cobb (38), Ryaad Bedford (50) and Bradley Fick (49).
“The investigation is ongoing.”
