IT was a much-improved Bisho Stars that earned an all-important point in their bid to avoid relegation after they drew 0-0 with the tough Bizana Pondo Chiefs during their ABC Motsepe League game at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium on Saturday.

However, it was an evenly balanced game with both sides having chances but both goalkeepers having a storming game.

Stars could have scored but Simamkele Dudley Pefile failed to send the ball into the back of the net when the usually sure-footed left winger just fell inside the goal.

All in all, the game was very exciting from the first whistle to the last.

SUBS also fought tooth and nail against Matta Milan in their 2-2 draw at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium on Saturday.

Milan scored first, a goal courtesy of Zukolwakhe Kona in the first half.

SUBS came up strongly throughout the game as they were searching for goals. Asivuyisa Nonxuba banged in SUBS’ equalising goal in the second half. Boy Zondani scored a goal from the penalty spot to give SUBS a 2-1 lead. SUBS led for a long time but their joy was cut after Milan’s midfielder, Zukile Malizana, scored the equali-sing goal in the last minutes of game.
