THE ABC Motsepe League hosted some attractive games around the Eastern Cape on Saturday.

The Nelson Mandela Bay lads, Highbury FC, registered a hard-fought 2-1 win after they overcame Amavarara FC at Gelvandale Stadium on Saturday.

After sharing a goalless draw with Bizana Pondo Chiefs last Saturday, Swartkopsvalley United Brothers (SUBS) were on the receiving end after they lost 5-1 to Bush Pirates FC at Samkelisizwe Ground in Addo on Saturday.

Lion City, whose chairperson, Dr Ngubo Biyana, and player, Amandla Mrwebi, were shot in Motherwell on Thursday evening in what appeared like a robbery, could not travel to their away game against Sinenkani FC, which was going to take place in Bizana. Kwazakhele-based side, BCM Stars, collected three league points in their 3-2 win over Matta Millan in Butterworth.
