SAPS Kabega Park has opened a case of murder after the body of a 24-year-old woman was found with visible injuries on Tuesday, December 12, in the St Albans vicinity.

According to Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, “It is alleged that at approximately 06:55, SAPS Kabega Park attended to a complaint on the M44, Gravel Road, St Albans.”

She added that upon arrival, a member of the community pointed out the body of a female.

“While on the scene, she was identified by her boyfriend. She had injuries to her head, face, and bruises on the back of her shoulder.”

At this stage, there is little information available and the investigation is ongoing.

The name of the deceased will only be released once she is positively identified, and the next of kin have been informed.
