THIS is the feast that lovers of school rugby have been waiting for.

The 200 Year Rugby Festival of Muir College will produce some spectacular matches at the Kariega school on Saturday and Monday.

On both days, the action will start at 09:00 and the last match will kick off at 15:00.

There are many mouth-watering clashes to look forward to, but the main match on the Ellis-field on Saturday is a special one.

Muir will be in action against Grey High in what should be a thrilling encounter.

This will be the first time since 2003 that these two sides take each other on.

As expected, Grey lost their match last Saturday against the strong Grey College outfit in Bloemfontein but gave the home side something to think about.

Grey College won an entertaining encounter 52-34 but the Gqeberha team produced a gutsy performance. Not many sides can score 34 points against Grey College in Bloemfontein.

If Grey can build on this performance, Muir will have to be at their best to win but does have home advantage.

Although Muir will be the place to be, some other interesting matches will also be played elsewhere.

One of them is also being played in Kariega with Brandwag hosting Nico Malan.

Both teams had good wins this past Saturday and will go into this match full of confidence.

Brandwag dominated the scrums and lineouts to put Punt of Mossel Bay away 38-5. Captain Keano Botha (flank) had another storming game.

Outside-centre, DJ Zietsman, was one of the stars for Nico Malan in the victory over Daniel Pienaar in Humansdorp.

Nico Malan won 70-10.

Framesby will take a well-deserved breather on Saturday, after being involved in another nail biter at home in Gqeberha.

After just getting the better of Grey the previous Saturday, Framesby had to stay cool and calm again to beat HTS Drostdy (Worcester) 27-24.

Scrumhalf, Zack Serfontein, had an excellent game for the winning side. Right wing Tristan Afrika again showed he only needs half a chance to score tries, dotting down twice this time.
