AFTER a well-deserved bye this past Saturday, the Fra-mesby High XV faces a mammoth task in their next match.
The Gqeberha-side will take on the powerful Outeniqua High in George this coming Saturday.
Outeniqua proved what they are capable of when they played brilliantly to beat Paarl Boys High 21-20 in a very tough encounter in George.
Before their off weekend, Framesby had two nail-biting home victories against Grey High and HTS Drostdy.
In those victories, Framesby handled the pressure well and will be keen to give Outeniqua another hard match.
There are many more interesting encounters this Saturday and one of them is Grey hosting Selborne College.
Grey will be glad to play at home for a change after three tough away matches. After losses against Framesby and Grey College, Grey just got home 29-23 against a spirited Muir College this past Saturday.
This fixture was the main event of the 200 Year Festival at Muir in Kariega. It was a thriller and Grey relied heavily on their driving maul to pull this one through and get some confidence for their next fixture.
There was good news this week for the Nico Malan loose forward, Max du Pisani. He is the sole Eastern Province representative in the two South African U/18 sides named to take on their age-group counterparts from France and England.
This four-team international series will be played in Paarl from Friday, August 19 until August 27.
Du Pisani will join the SA U/18 A-team squad in Stellenbosch on Sunday to start preparing for the series. The players will be based at the Stellenbosch Academy of Sport.
