Police in New Brighton are searching for two people who went missing in separate incidents, one more than a year ago.

On June 17 this year just before midnight, 31-year-old Mcebisi Blouw went to sleep at his shack that is at the back of his family home in Noxolo Street, New Brighton. The following morning when he did not come inside the house, his sister went to look for him because he did not usually sleep late on the weekend.

According to police spokesperson, Capt. Sandra Janse van Rensburg, Blouw was not in his shack. “His sister followed up with family and friends which he frequently visited but were unable to trace him,” she said.

His sister reported him missing at SAPS New Brighton on June 21. All efforts to locate him by the investigating officer have proven futile.
