Come and enjoy live music performances at the inaugural All White Heritage Day Picnic, to be held at Victoria Park on Saturday, September 24.
The concert, aimed at celebrating Heritage Day, while creating employment opportunities for artists and businesses forms part of the annual Ebubeleni Festival’s Concert Series, as a build-up to the main festival in December.
The line-up boasts Gqeberha born-multi award-winning singer, Zonke Dikana, new songstress on the block, Nomfundo Moh, Afropop singer, Ntsika, popular neo-soul singer, Bongeziwe Mabandla, and Gqeberha-born Putuma Tiso. Sharing the stage with these national artists are Gqeberha’s very popular DJs and musicians, Hermanos, Lorna Targaryen, Joliza and Siya Koyo.
There will also be traditional food on sale and an arts and craft exhibition market, showcasing exhibitions by crafters, beadworks, jewellery, local traditional designers’ wares, and visual artists.
Tickets start from R295 and are available at Webtickets, Pick n Pay, and Boxer. Cooler boxes are R95. Dress code; all white with a touch of heritage/cultural attire. Gates open at 09:00 and the event will run from 11:00 to 18:00. Children under the age of 18 are prohibited.
