A man was robbed and murdered whilst busy with deliveries in Missionvale yesterday afternoon, October 20.

Police attended to a complaint at Livingstone Hospital at approximately 16:30. Upon arrival, the body of 31-year-old Abdikarm Kamil was pointed out with a single gunshot wound to the chest.

He was brought to the hospital in a private vehicle.

Police spokesperson, Capt. Sandra Janse van Rensburg, said that according to a witness, they were in the Missionvale area busy with deliveries when they were stopped by four armed suspects. “The suspects demanded the cell phones and cash. After the suspects took the cell phones they fired one shot at Mr Kamil, whereafter the suspects fled on foot. The witness rushed Mr Kamil to the hospital where he later died,” Janse van Rensburg said.

A case of murder is currently under investigation.
