CHUMILE Transport Holdings ploughed back into the community of Wells Estates when they handed over brand-new soccer kit and five balls to the Wells Estates Bluebirds u.17 team. This took place at their practice grounds on Monday.

Chumile Holdings managing director Lukhanyo Lupuwana stated that they decided to support the Wells Estates club after its secretary Siyanda Mpamba wrote a letter requesting a donation of kit for u.17 team.

“We noticed that the management of Bluebirds is very serious about youth sport development. They are doing a great job in saving our children from doing crime,” said Lupuwana. “Today, our children are faced with a number of challenges but sport helps to keep them busy.

“Above all, we do this donation for the love of the sport. I hope that one day one or two players of Bluebirds will also make a change in their community. We revive the spirit of humanity so that one day we would like to see role models in Wells Estates doing good things for those people who are less fortunate.”

Bluebirds deputy secretary, Mtho-beli Konongo, expressed his club’s heartfelt gratitude to Chumile Holdings.

“We are over the moon because the dignity of our juniors is restored. This generosity of Chumile Holdings has brought about happiness, enthusiasm, morale boost of our players and make our young players to show keen interest in sport,” said Konongo. “Chumile Transport Holdings have added value to our community. I would like to thank Chumile Transport Holdings for bringing the dignity our players.”
