Bethelsdorp police are investigating a murder case after a 38-year-old man was stabbed during a concert of the Temple Boys at La Dee Da’s nightclub in Salsoneville on Saturday, April 1.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, it is alleged that at approximately 01:20, the deceased, Jeremy Mopp, was brought into Livingstone Hospital with multiple stab wounds to his head and neck.
Janse Van Rensburg said circumstances surrounding the incident are still a bit sketchy.
“The incident is under investigation. Police are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed anything or can provide information about the murder to contact SAPS Bethelsdorp at 071 475 1953 or Crime Stop at 08600 10111 or the nearest police station or send information via MYSAPSAPP. All information received will be confidential, and callers may remain anonymous,” said Janse Van Rensburg.
Attempts to get comment from the owner of the nightclub were unsuccessful.
