FOLLOWING a long season layoff, the Nelson Mandela Bay Industrial Football League season has started, with some teams failing to pitch up for their games at various venues recently.

At Shatterprufe Grounds in Struandale on Sunday, Struandale Neave failed to arrive for their match against newcomers, Borbet.

In the battle of the newcomers, Coega Dairy made their intentions clear in a 4–1 victory over Hitech at Shatterprufe Grounds on Sunday. Continental accumulated three points after Shatterprufe Struandale failed to show up. Benteler also received three league points, after Willard Batteries were unavailable to play against them at Dana Fields in Kariega on Sunday.

The game between Dana and Mpact ended in a 1–1 draw. Hitech thumped Tenneco Deal Party 7–0 at Dana Fields in Kariega on Sunday.
