The u/14 Warriors Eastern Province Indoor Cricket team shone brightly at the Interprovincial Junior Tournament held in Cape Town recently, delivering an outstanding performance that culminated in a gold medal victory.

Competing in 12 round-robin games against various provinces, the u/14 Warriors emerged unbeaten, showcasing their dominance and skill throughout the tournament. In a thrilling final match, they faced off against the Gauteng North Titans and secured a well-deserved victory to claim the championship title.

In addition to their success on the field, the team also earned the Fair Play Award for the u/14 category, showcasing their exemplary sportsmanship and conduct during the competition.

The celebration didn’t end there, as five talented players from the Eastern Province side – Noah Jacobs, Kayden Whittaker, Keanu Woods, Nathan van der Merwe, and Ruan Sampson – received further recognition by being selected for the u/14 South Africa team.

These exceptional players will have the opportunity to compete in the World Cup trials later this year.
