Umanyano Stars kissed goodbye to the tournament in their 3–0 loss to Morning Stars on penalty shootout after their goalless fulltime score. Despite their 2–1 loss, Duka Cosmos gave a good account of themselves when they were up against Amadamara FC.
NUBS advanced to the next stage of the tournament after they knocked out Alaska 7–6 on penalties, following their two-all draw in the regulation’s time score.
Strikers United eliminated Golden Aces in their 4–3 win on penalties following their 2–2 fulltime score. Major Chiefs were ruthless as they gave Young Killers a 3–0 hiding. Shining Stars had to sweat for their 1–0 triumph when they locked horns with Young Brothers who were not easy opponents. It was a one-way traffic situation when Gal City took Mighty Heroes to the cleaners after they thrashed them 4–1 in the last game.
