SAPS Bethelsdorp detectives are investigating a double murder following the death of a couple on Thursday, September 28, at a house on Barends Street in Salt Lake.
According to police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, it is alleged that at about 12:00, police were alerted to the murders at the mentioned address.
“It is alleged that the married couple were embroiled in a physical altercation before their deaths.
“They resided at the back of the house belonging to the deceased man’s parents. Both deceased sustained multiple stab wounds,” said Naidu.
“They were identified as Jason Bruintjies (29) and Anneline Bruintjies(28).”
A case of murder (x2) is under investigation.
