Athletes from Gqeberha took part in the international Ironman World Championship in Lahti, Finland, on August 26 and 27. The women raced on the Saturday and the men raced on the Sunday.
The athletes who took part and completed the qualifying event are Mike Webb, Tim Haward, Rebecca Gatangi and Megan Newman.
