Police spokesperson, Captain Andre Beetge, said it is alleged that at about 17:00, the rubber duck boat entered the sea from Swartkops River and capsized.
Beetge explained that four out of the group swam to safety on the beach at St. Georges Strand, while the body of the 50-year-old male skipper washed ashore.
