ELEVEN Stars embarrassed FC Angels 6–0 during their Motherwell Football Association (MOFA) Premier League clash at Motherwell NU 11 Stadium on Saturday.

Ikamvelihle lads made their intentions clear as they pressed hard from the word go. Buhle Mahlalo pulled his trigger in the 15th minute to beat Angels’ goalkeeper, Zola Mabele. Stars increased their lead after goal poacher, Ayabonga Ngobo, found the back of the net in the 20th minute. Stars increased their lead to 3–0 following a well-taken goal by Buhle Emihle Cola in the 40th minute.

Angels’ mid-fielders were disjointed, as they could not combine well in the centre of the park. Mahlalo was rewarded with a spectacular goal that increased Stars’ lead to 4–0 in the 50th minute. Stars, who have not yet tasted any defeat since the start of the league season, were all over their opponents.

Sikhulule Vinjwa delivered a long range shot past Angels’ goalkeeper, Mabele, in the 70th minute to put Stars in a 5–0 lead. The business was not yet over, as Stars’ mid-fielder, Hlumani Mtati, scored his goal that put the last nail into Angels’ coffin in the 80th minute. The score could have been more than 6–0, but Mabele pulled many brilliant saves at point blank. Stars’ goalkeeper, Olwethu Mhomho, was not busy at all, as he pulled off very few saves.

Tomorrow Stars salvaged the three maximum league points when they defeated Young Ideas 1–0 at Motherwell NU 11 Stadium on Saturday.
