ROYAL Bucks managed to defeat the tough Red City during their SAFA Nelson Mandela Bay Hollywood Bets Regional League game at Motherwell NU 11 on Saturday.

However, the game was very attractive from the first whistle as the two sides searched for their opening goals. Bucks’ striker, Siviwe Senyaka Siyona, scored his side’s opening goal in the 34th minute. City came strongly, with their wing, Anele Siwa, delivering good crosses but his forwards failed to convert them to goals.

The visitors’ striker, Gugulethu Jawa, failed to beat Bucks goalkeeper, Athenkosi Mantyi , who collected his tame shot. Bucks searched for their second goal with City defender, Akhona Moni, conceding a penalty which was scored by Bucks’ skipper, Adumodwa Mani, in the 79thminute. Bucks claimed a hard-fought 2-0 win from gutsy Red City.

Camper United defeated Port Elizabeth FC 2-1 during their tough clash that took place at Motherwell NU 11 Stadium on Sunday. Port Elizabeth FC goal came courtesy of Zenilimikhaya Matenjwa in the 34th minute while Buntu Mkonko scored his two goals in the 38th minute and 79th minute.
