Following the abduction of a Gqeberha businessman, Neal Ah-Tow last Friday, March 1, as he was preparing to open his fishery on Crichton Street in Sidwell, a ransom demand of $1.4 million has surfaced.

Hawks spokesperson, Captain Yolisa Mgolodela, confirmed a ransom demand of $1.4 million for Ah-Tow, and indicated suspected involvement of foreign nationals.
Mgolodela further mentioned that Ah-Tow requested his high blood medication.
In a statement released by SAPS, Colonel Priscilla Naidu reported that at approximately 07:15 on March 1, the businessman was allegedly abducted by five men as he was about to open his store.
Naidu added,” the armed suspects, driving a silver Chev Cruz vehicle forced the victim into their vehicle and drove off.”
