THE Old Grey Union, committed to upholding the legacy of The Grey Schools in Gqeberha, recently announced Infiniti Insurance Limited and Southsure Brokers as the sponsors of the Union’s Reunion Week 2024 celebration.

Set to take place from May 8 to 12, the organisers said that this year’s reunion promises a platform for Old Boys to connect, celebrate, and contribute to the school’s continued success.

“The mission of the Old Grey Union is to foster enduring connections among its alumni worldwide, and to rally their ongoing support, both financially and materially, towards the advancement of their alma mater,” said president of the Old Grey Union, Dave Hurr.

Sharon Paterson, CEO of Infiniti Insurance Limited, and stalwart supporter of Grey High School, challenged fellow companies and alumni to follow suit in safeguarding Grey’s future, and empowering the school to uphold standards of excellence in educating young men.

“We take pride in backing the Old Grey Union and its noble pursuit of providing a world-class education to learners from diverse backgrounds.”

The Old Grey Union, through its asset, the Old Grey Club, boasts upscale sporting amenities where individuals of all ages can partake in padel, squash, cricket, hockey, or football, at both social and competitive levels. Over the years, the school has nurtured numerous international sporting luminaries and icons, including Springbok captain, Siya Kolisi.

“The enduring success of The Grey School owes much to the benevolence and support of our esteemed donors, engaged Old Boys, and the altruistic business community. We rely on your steadfast support to fortify The Grey School’s future and to perpetuate our holistic approach to education encompassing body, mind, and spirit,” Hurr concluded.
