The body that washed ashore on Tuesday, April 9 at Cape Recife, has been identified as Athule Phindani (31), and police have confirmed an investigation is ongoing.
As previously reported by the PE Express, according to police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, at about 17:20, the body of Phindani was found on the beach at Cape Recife located behind the shooting range.

Janse Van Rensburg stated that when Phindani was found he was dressed in a wet suit.
