According to SAPS spokesperson Captain André Beetge, the members of the Trio Task Team followed up on information on a suspect who could be a person of interest in several serious violent crimes in the Nelson Mandela Bay region.
“Upon locating him in a house in Nondumo Street in Wells Estate, officers confiscated three unlicensed firearms that were in his possession,” he said. “Further investigation will follow his arrest.”
Beetge added that he would be appearing in the Motherwell Magistrate’s Court today, 1 June, to face charges of illegal possession of three firearms and ammunition.
