GQEBERHA – The Eastern Cape Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Investigation unit is urgently seeking the community’s assistance in locating a person of interest, Lukhanyo Mekula, who may assist in solving a mass shooting incident in Gqeberha.
According to police spokesperson, Brigadier Nobuntu Gantana, on 26 April, a shooting took place at Wells Estate, where three died and six were seriously injured.
“The injured victims are currently receiving medical treatment in hospital,” she added.
“Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Lukhanyo Mekula is urged to contact Sergeant Yali on 082 066 0329, or call Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the MySAPSApp.
“All information will be treated as strictly confidential.”
