THE president of the Eastern Province Tenpin Bowling Association (EPTBA), Garreth Hechter, took top honours in the Gold Division of the recent Singles Closed tenpin bowling tournament, with a pinfall of 2 854.
Baywest Mall’s Nitro Park played host to the 12-game event.
A record of 55 games was shot by nine bowlers, with over 200 pinfalls.
The players were Garreth Hechter 12, Wayne Jones 11, Leon Cilliers 6, Bradley Bopp 6, Ashton Heidemann 6, Phelele Booi 5, Roxanne Hechter 4, Gerrie du Preez 3 and Shaun Heidemann 2.
The silver division winner was Samantha Jonker (2 343) and the winner of the masters’ gold was Leon Cilliers (2 457).
