GQEBERHA – Local police has confirmed the kidnapping of a 44-year-old man in Glendinningvale, Gqeberha, which was reported on Monday, 14 October.
Police spokesperson Captain Andre Beetge confirmed the incident and stated that no ransom demand has been made at this stage of the investigation.
Due to the serious nature of the incident, the case has been escalated to the Provincial Organised Crime Investigation Unit.
Public assistance requested
Authorities are appealing to the public for assistance in the investigation. Anyone with information that could help in the case is urged to contact the investigating officer, Sergeant Claasen, on 072 731 9120.
The police have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the kidnapping or the identity of the victim.
