TSITSIKAMMA – The suspension bridge at the Storms River Mouth Rest Camp in the Tsitsikamma Section of the Garden Route National Park is temporarily closed from 1 September to 15 September 2025.
JP Louw, SANParks Head of Communications and Spokesperson, said that the closure is necessary for planned maintenance and will be in effect on weekdays (Monday to Friday) during this period.
He further said that the suspension bridge will remain open to visitors on weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) during this period.
While the bridge will be inaccessible on weekdays, Louw encouraged visitors to take advantage of the wide range of activities still available at Storms River Mouth:
• Waterfall Trail & Otter Trail (Day Access)
• Loerie & Blue Duiker Trails
• Kayak & Lilo Adventures
• Birdwatching & Photography
• Restaurant & Gift Shop
