With just days to go, Zsports Events SA is calling on women across Nelson Mandela Bay and beyond to secure their place in the 2025 Pretty in Pink Ladies’ 5km, proudly presented by Pick n Pay. Taking place on Saturday, August 9, this flagship Women’s Day celebration kicks off from King’s Beach under this year’s powerful theme: Wildly Inspired.

Online registration is still open at www.Ladies5km.co.za, but with limited space remaining, final entries are strongly encouraged. This event supports two vital women-focused charities: Vision4Women and PinkDrive.

The 5km route offers a fast, flat and scenic experience, taking participants along the beachfront promenade and back. Whether you’re running with intent or walking with friends, the route caters for all fitness levels and is designed to be both fun and accessible. A water station will be available along the way, with a lively event village bringing energy and celebration from start to finish.

Race pack collection has been scheduled to accommodate all participants. Collection will take place at Pick n Pay, Walmer Park Shopping Centre, today (Wednesday), August 6, and Thursday, August 7, between 12:00 and 18:00. Alternatively, participants can collect their packs at the King’s Beach race venue on Friday, August 8 from 16:00 to 18:00, or on race day, Saturday, August 9, from 08:00 to 09:45. Participants must collect before the race starts.

Bringing vibrant energy to the route, Varsity College will have its cheerleading team stationed along the course to cheer on walkers and runners throughout the event. Their presence will add spirit, support, and excitement as participants make their way along the beachfront.

The event will be hosted by celebrated MC Niqui Cloete-Barrass, whose infectious energy and inspiring commentary will set the tone for a morning of empowerment and celebration. To further amplify the atmosphere, LuisterFM will be broadcasting live from the venue, capturing the heart of the event as it unfolds.

Ladies and supporters are encouraged to dress boldly in pink, in line with the Wildly Inspired theme. A full range of official merchandise is available for order online, including t-shirts, hoodies, vests, tutus, visors, caps, bottles, waist bags, backpacks, and PinkDrive items. All merchandise orders include free local delivery thanks to our logistics partner Fastway Couriers.

With thousands expected to take part, the Pretty in Pink Ladies’ 5km remains the city’s largest celebration of Women’s Day and a vital driver of impact for women-led causes. Entries will close once capacity is reached. Don’t miss your chance to be part of this extraordinary movement!
