With just over 87% of voting districts declared in Nelson Mandela Bay, the ANC is currently in the lead with 38,21% of the votes, closely followed by the DA with 35,16% of the votes.
According to News 24’s election results dashboard, just over 51% of Nelson Mandela Bay’s registered 601 715 voters cast their vote.
Currently third on the leader board in Nelson Mandela Bay is the EFF (11,34%) followed by the PA (6,92%), the VF Plus (1,33%), the ACDP (1,15%) and the UDM (0.95%). The MK’s votes currently stands at 0,95%.
In Kouga Municipality the DA has already declared victory. The Democratic Alliance’s leader in the Eastern Cape, Andrew Whitfield, announced this morning at 6.30 am that the DA has won the majority of the votes in the Kouga Municipality.
Whitfield said in a video posted on social media that “this is a positive endorsement of the DA governed municipality and an indicator that we (the DA) can win Kouga in die 2026 local elections”.
According to Netwerk24’s election results dashboard, 100% of the voting districts in the Kouga area has been declared. Out of the total of 63 929 registered voters in the Kouga district 38 154 (59,68%) voted. The DA received 52,33% of the votes, followed by the ANC (30,88%), the PA (6,54%), the VF Plus (3,06%) the EFF (2,98%) and the ACDP (1,15%)
