PE Express reported at 14:00 that with just over 87% of voting districts declared in Nelson Mandela Bay, the ANC was in the lead with 38,21% of the votes, closely followed by the DA with 35,16% of the votes.
According to News 24’s election results dashboard, just over 56% of Nelson Mandela Bay’s registered 601 715 voters cast their vote.
Currently third on the leader board in Nelson Mandela Bay is the EFF (11,05%) followed by the PA (6,41%), the VF Plus (1,30%), the UDM (1.28%) and the ACDP (1,26%). The MK’s votes currently stands at 0,83%.
In Kouga Municipality the DA has already declared victory. The Democratic Alliance’s leader in the Eastern Cape, Andrew Whitfield, announced this morning at 6.30 am that the DA has won the majority of the votes in the Kouga Municipality.
