In celebration of her furry friend Finn’s fourth birthday in June, local resident Lesa-Mare Harris will run the Finn’s Furry Friends Paw Project once again.
The charity drive calls for donations of canned pet food, dry dog and cat food, pet treats and blankets.
“Finn was adopted during lockdown, and has filled my heart. Finn is my best friend, travel buddy and fur child. He is more of a friend than a pet, and offers endless love and wagging tail vibes to all who visit. So, now I want to give back to community projects that help animals, and are currently suffering under financial strain,” said Harris. “During the month of June we are collecting dog and cat food, as well as blankets for those cold winter days. These donations will be distributed to various shelters and organisations that foster, house, and look after strays and homeless pets.”
Drop-off points for Finn’s Furry Friends donations are Mount Pleasant Vet Clinic in Buffelsfontein Road, and ZBrands South Africa at 174 Villiers Road, Walmer.
