Eastern Province Bonsai Society: A bonsai meeting will be held on July 13 at the Methodist Church hall on the corner of Newton Street and 3rd Avenue, from 11:00. Sally Saunders and Edward Kieck will be the demo masters. Prep work for Spring, on dormancy trees, pines, and deciduous trees, sharpening and cleaning of tools, and a hands-on workshop. Re-Seconds Market: A special Christmas in July pop-up market will be held at Walmer Town Hall on Saturday, July 13. There will be clothing, food stalls, home decor, antique collectables, and jewellery, as well as a jumping castle and live music. Public entrance is free. African Sky’s Venue Market: Come and sell your old or unused goodies in a safe environment at African Sky’s Venue, 120 Nassua Road, Theescombe, on July 20 from 10:00 to 15:00. Craft Market/Book Sale: The Linton Grange Library will have a craft market and mini book sale on July 25 and 26.

Family Festival: The festival will take place at Kings Court on Saturday, July 27, from 09:00 to 14:00. Entry is free to the public. Guests can expect exhibitors from antenatal classes and clinic, to pregnancy massage, chiropractor, daycare, baby accessories, developmental stimulation classes, books, jumping castle, facepainting, nappies, medical services, and much more. The chosen charity of the day is Zanethemba Charity Foundation.

Men’s Breakfast: St Saviours Church will host a men’s breakfast, with guest speaker,Andrew Johnson, from “Rugby for Jesus”, at St Saviours Church, 2 Villiers Road, Walmer, on Saturday, July 27, from 08:00. Gqeberha Central Men’s Shed: They meet every Wednesday from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Athenaeum, Athol Fugard Terrace (Belmont Terrace) between Castle Hill and Military Road, opposite the Supreme Court. A men’s shed is a space where men can relax, get together to talk, work together, have a cup of coffee, and create friends. All ages are welcome. Hi’s Place Developing Centre: They have a church service every Sunday at 09:00. Every first and third Saturday of the month they also have a healing service at 17:00. July’s healing services will be on July 6 and 20. All are welcome. It’s an open meeting to all sick people and those with problems who need prayer.
