SAPS Mount Road detectives are seeking the assistance of the public to solve a business robbery that occurred at a local business in Gqeberha on Tuesday, July 9, at approximately 16:20.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, said police are looking for leads that can assist to arrest the suspects allegedly involved in a business robbery that occurred yesterday at Newton Street, Newton Park, in Gqeberha.
“This follows after police were summoned to an incident where two unknown men knocked on the door and the security officer informed them that they have already closed for the day,” she explained.
She said the suspects then pointed a firearm at the security officer and forced their way into the premises.
“They threatened the customers and made them to lie down on the floor and took their cell phones and a Samsung TV. The suspects fled in a Toyota Corolla that was waiting outside the premises,” she concluded.
