A total of 4 people has died in a head on collision involving a sedan and a bakkie on the R75, Uitenhage Road and Johnson Road junction on Sunday, July 21.
Involved in the collision was, Dr. Lungisa Excel Nojoko, a prominent Gqeberha doctor, was among those who lost their lives while driving their bakkie.
According to Eastern Cape Department of Transport spokesperson, Unathi Binqose, the accident occurred in the early hours, at approximately 03:00, Sunday, July 21.
He said a sedan, an Opel Corsa, with three occupants collided with a Bakkie with one occupant.
“All four persons involved perished at the scene.”
A culpable homicide docket has been opened with New Brighton SAPS.
