The 12-year-old boy who died in the vehicle accident this past weekend has been identified as Aiden Lewis.
Lewis died upon arrival at the hospital on August 18.

According to police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, the mother of the deceased has been discharged from the hospital.
She also mentioned that the male suspect (26), has been released on bail for R1000.
However, he remains in the hospital due to his injuries.
“The investigation is ongoing,” she added.
As previously reported by the PE Express, the fatal vehicle accident occurred at 01:25. Two vehicles, a Kia Rio with one person and a VW Caddy with a mother and son, were traveling on Main Road, Walmer.
According to police, the two vehicles collided between 10th and 11th Avenue.
