Gqeberha police probe four murders, including a 16-year-old girl, and an attempted murder after yesterday’s Motherwell shooting.
According to police spokesperson, Colonel Siphokazi Mawisa, the incident took place on Khalendula Street, NU 11, on Tuesday, January 21, at approximately 18:30.
“Information indicates that three unknown males entered a house in Motherwell and shot at the occupants.
“During the shooting, three males aged between 20 and 25 years old, as well as a 16-year-old female, were fatally shot, while a 24-year-old male was injured and taken to the hospital for treatment,” said Mawisa.
She added that the motive is not clear at this stage and forms part of the investigation.
“Four counts of murder and attempted murder cases are being investigated by the SAPS Provincial Serious and Violent Crime Investigation (SVCI) Unit.”
