It is not difficult to attract visitors when you have an enviable location offering sweeping views of one of the most beautiful beaches in South Africa. But it takes more than views to get visitors to return and a lot more to become a loved hotel brand.
Sun International has always set the bar high for service standards, and at Boardwalk we take this philosophy to heart. We strive to always deliver above and beyond expectations so this award belongs to our staff. It is their passion and commitment to warm and friendly service that our guests come to love. It is through their hard work that Boardwalk is able to consistently create memorable experiences whether at our hotel, our spa, our casino, restaurant, Mall or many other facilities.
Kudos too to Sun International who has kept us relevant through regular investment in our infrastructure. Our journey with Gqeberha began with the opening of the Boardwalk Casino & Entertainment World in October 2000, but a R1-billion investment in 2012 allowed us to develop our Boardwalk hotel with its luxurious accommodation, restaurant, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, and a world-class health spa with facilities including an indoor plunge pool.
We have also received tremendous feedback for our more recent R500-million Boardwalk Mall development with its wide retail and dining choices.
