KHOLEKA Mbusi, affectionately known as Ma Kholeka, is passionate about the early development of children before they take on the ropes of primary school.

“I believe it is an important factor to unlock the ability of a child to read and learn at an early age,” said Ma Kholeka, who is the principal of Khazimla Day Care Centre.

The day-care centre, which is situated in Red Location, New Brighton, is run by Ma Kholeka, together with two practitioners.

Ma Kholeka and her team take care of the day-to-day activities, such as athletics for the children, as well as the preparation of their meals.

The Eastern Cape Department of Social Development provides food for the young children and payment for the practitioners though Ma Kholeka says the infrastructure of the school is starting to raise concern.

“To have a learning environment that is safe is one of my main priorities as the principal of the day care. It is unfortunate that in recent events the school has experienced a break-in where the electrical wires were stolen.

“This is certainly a hazard for the children” said Ma Kholeka.

Khazimla Day Care requires assistance to ensure that the time the children spend during the day is filled with joy and safety for the children. For more information contact Kholeka Mbusi on 078 956 1715.
