PE PLETT, one of South Africa’s most renowned mountain bike stage races, has announced the signing of Prudential Investment Managers as its new title sponsor.
Going forward, this four-day MTB stage race will now be known as the Prudential PE PLETT.
Starting at Woodridge School, outside of Port Elizabeth, the journey will take 200 riders on a four-day roller coaster ride through some of the finest and varied mountain biking real estate that South Africa has to offer.
The final descent on day four, which traverses down the Otters Trail into Natures Valley, makes for one of the most beautiful and exhilarating finishes on two wheels.
Mike Glover, of Red Cherry Adventures, said the profile of the riders who are affluent adventure seekers is a perfect fit for Prudential.
“We are truly excited to be the race that will introduce our new title sponsor to the wonderful world of mountain biking,” Glover said.
Head of marketing Sumayya Davenhill said, “We’re excited about this sponsorship as we feel that there is good synergy and fit for the Prudential brand and its attributes.
“It’s a race that requires consistent focus, determination and guts, values that we subscribe to at a Prudential.”
The Prudential PE PLETT will be staged from February 14 to 17 next year.
The organisers are already hard at work, cutting new trails and revamping the brand new race village.
