REAL Madrid FC walked away victorious after they accumulated the six maximum league points during the Walmer Football Association (WAFA) Premier League double header that took place at the Walmer Community Grounds at the weekend.
Madrid edged out the relegation candidates, Two for Joy FC, 2-0 on Saturday and African Aces could not go pound for pound against Madrid who defeated them 2-0 on Sunday.
The six points cemented Real Madrid’s top eight position on the WAFA Premier League log table.
Since the start of the current season, Madrid have been collecting maximum points in every game.
Owing to their excellent performances in league matches, Madrid are regarded as one of the top WAFA Premier League teams.
The log leaders, Young Cosmos, earned a hard-won 2-1 victory over Walmer Stars.
The struggling Mabayibone Strikers were demolished 5-2 by Ghetto Stars on Saturday.
In the battle of the relegation threatened teams, Mabayibone Strikers redeemed themselves after they salvaged a 2-0 win over the beleaguered Two for Joy FC.
Ghetto Stars hammered Hammers 3-0 in their one-sided clash, while Peace claimed a well-deserved 2-0 victory when they faced African Aces.
Mighty Eagles also claimed a 1-0 victory over the struggling Airport Valley United.
Finally, fans were kept on their feet in a 2-2 drawn clash between Morning Stars and Eleven Experience.
